Cool Cookies: Every year, baker François Goedhuys, of Girard Gourmet, creates a menagerie of decorated cookie cutouts depicting Christmas scenes and historic buildings in the village of La Jolla.
The confectionary panoramas are erected on tables in the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library for its annual holiday party. By evening’s end, most of the decor is gone, either eaten or taken home by attendees.
