Jurors:

Manny Farber, internationally-recognized artist; and Malcolm Warner, SDMA Curator of European Art/Prints and Drawings

Jurors Manny Farber, internationally-recognized artist; and Malcolm Warner, SDMA Curator of European Art/Prints and Drawings, reviewed more than 100 entries and selected 21 artists. Exhibiting one work each were Darcy Abrahams, Jean­nie Branscomb, Ricardo Carbajal-Moss, Mary Coman, Anthony Cuca, Ellen Davis, Marianne Filloux, Mirto Golino, Lenore Hughes, Jerry Kronovet, Lenore Schulman Lang, Charles V. Langsett, Willie McGrath, Kate Palese, M. Kathleen Peterson, Shannon Ricaud, Cecilia Stanford, and K.V. Tomney. Marie Najera was awarded first prize for an acrylic on paper, Mi Cama es Su Cama, 1994; Jeanne Zvetina won second prize for her installation, La Casa del Sordo, 1995; and third prize was awarded to Marianne Saltiel for Fragmented Mind, 1995, charcoal on paper.
