Second Biennial Artists’ Books Juried Exhibition

The call for entries for this year’s exhibition was extended to the entire state of California and attracted more than twice as many entries as its predecessor, the First Artists’ Books Juried Exhibition. Juror Marcia Reed, Curator of Rare Books at the Getty Research Institute for the History of Art and the Humanities, viewed more than 250 slide entries from 103 artists. The exhibition included 36 works by 22 artists. Irene Imfeld (1st place), Landscape Fragments. Kazuko Watanabe (2nd place), Right Hemisphere and Left Hemisphere.
