Athenaeum Artists’ Books 100th Anniversary Exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego

To help us celebrate our one hundredth anniversary, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego hosted an exhibit in their Jacobs gallery, featuring artists’ books from the Athenaeum’s permanent collection. The names of the artists whose books were exhibited are John Baldessari, Larry Bell, Enrique Chagoya, Robert Cremean, Hanne Darboven, Herman De Vries, Toni Dove, Johanna Drucker, Ed Epping, Gilbert & George, Ann Hamilton, Allan Kaprow, Alex Katz, Enid Mark, Bruce Nauman, Maria Nordman, Ken Price, Faith Ringgold, Derli Romero, Kiki Smith, Buzz Spector, Mauro Staccioli, Harry Sternberg, Fernando de Szyslo, Rosemarie Trockel, Andy Warhol, and Alberto Dilger.
