They selected works from those submitted by a record number of artists (240, with approximately 1,000 pieces entered) who live, work, or have exhibited in San Diego County. Artists were Constance Athens, Randy Brennan (honorable mention for There Was Always A Time To Exit), Kraig Cavanaugh (honorable mention for Scarlet Bumper Sticker Series), Larry Caveney, Katy Chang (honorable mention for The End), Janetmarie Colby (honorable mention for Waiting), Moya Devine, a collaboration by Shelly Garrick, Jason Holowk, Kris Nelson and Richard Reyes (2nd place winner for the artists’ book Pleasant Dreams), Stephanie Goldman, Tim Guest, Valerie Samuel Henderson, Kim Itkonen (honorable mention for Fruit Burden-Homage to Raphael, Courbet and Eve), Lauren Jackson, Adare McAlister, Cliff McReynolds, David Messick, Dana Montlack, Sally Moretta (honorable mention for Alias Mauve), Piotr Naliwajko (3rd place winner for Love Letter), Susan Osborn, Deborah Ruth (1st place winner for Junior Gets!), Barbara Schmidt, David Schmiedeberg, Tanya Lynn Story, Lisa Venditelli, Thomas Whayne, Alexandra Zalce and George Zucconi.
