INSITE_05 ARCHIVES

This exhibition was presented concurrently at the Athenaeum, the Centro Cultural de Tijuana (CECUT), and in a mobile trailer unit. The curators examined the connections between individual researchers and activists, cultural and community centers and grassroots initiatives that focus on border issues specific to our region. The three exhibition “spaces” contained material from local private and public collections that were selected specifically for their subject matter that pertain to the border region of San Diego and Tijuana. Included in the exhibition were photographs, archival material, documents, newsletters, books, videos, music, artifacts, and ephemera regarding questions of labor in relation to globalization and questions of youth and counter cultures.
