5: SAN DIEGO EMERGING ARTISTS COLLABORATE ON FURNITURE AND ART

Pair five San Diego-based young, inspired furniture designers with five San Diego-based creative, “under the radar” artists -- add five thought-provoking words around which each of the five teams collaborated -- and the result? Five original, collaborative works. This exhibition coincided with the 2005 Furniture Society Conference, hosted by San Diego State University Department of Furniture and Design, and Department chair Wendy Maruyama. Artists in the exhibition were Paul Basile and Chris Martino; Mia Hall and Marie Najera; Christine Lee and Anthony Lukins, Jason Wilmot and Mark Carrick with artist Eric Rodrigez; and Jason St. John and Barbara O’Rourke.
