The exhibition is subtitled Urbanization and Climate Change in San Diego County. Wallen uses photomurals and journal/sketchbooks to examine natural habitats that are changing or disappearing in the San Diego area. The exhibition includes her artist’s books. She identifies herself as an Ecological Artist and holds a BA in Environmental Science from Swarthmore college and an MFA in Visual Arts from University of California, San Diego. She is a faculty member in Interdisciplinary Arts at Goddard College in Vermont; she resides in the San Diego area.
