Following the Athenaeum’s exhibition earlier this year of Ed Ruscha’s book of Kerouac’s On the Road, Hamilton Press (founded by Ruscha and Ed Hamilton in 1990) exhibits thirty-two framed prints and a nine-print portfolio of artists including Billy Al Benson, Raul Guerrero, Dennis Hopper, Mark Licari, Allen Ruppersberg, Alexis Smith, and Ruscha himself, as well as two artist’s books by Raymond Pettibon. The main themes throughout the exhibition are books, words, texts, and letters.
