JEAN LOWE
Lost Time
June 18–July 23, 2016
Through the “pages” taken from imagined ephemera auction catalogs, the work in Lost Time is a circuitous and humorous musing on the themes of aging, perception, and the construction of value. The images (ink jet on poly metal) combine photography of both real and handmade realistic objects with digitally generated imagery. Other works include casein on paper and alkyd and acrylic pieces. Lowe is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and earned an MFA at the University of California, San Diego. She resides in Encinitas.
