PRUDENCE HORNE
Garden Plots
March 14–May 2, 2020
Boston-native and San Diego-resident artist Prudence Horne kept a garden plot at the Juniper/Ivy Community Gardens in Bankers Hill for more than 5 years. She regularly marveled at the ability and possibility to grow poppies in January. She presented a series of paintings inspired by the always-changing beauty of the garden. Horne received her BA in Art History from Trinity College (where?) and MFA in painting from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. She has served as a contributing teacher for the Athenaeum’s teen program.
