This exhibition honored Steven Leiber: Catalogs (Rinder, et al., Inventory Press, 2019), and the landmark conceptual artists’ books he located for the Athenaeum, including those by John Baldessari, Lawrence Weiner, Hans-Peter Feldmann, and Ed Ruscha. Leiber was responsible for tracking down a copy of the elusive Dutch Details for Erika Torri, allowing her to complete the canon of Ed Ruscha’s artist’s books in the Athenaeum’s prestigious collection.
