Christian Garcia-Olivo

Christian Garcia-Olivo received his BA in studio arts from San Diego State University (SDSU) in 2015. His work explores acrylic paint as a sculptural medium. He uses craft techniques, such as weaving and collage, as a way to examine and challenge contemporary issues, bringing attention to the hierarchy of art media and the ongoing subordination of craft. His passion for art has led him to teach a wide variety of ages from 5 to 45 in Santa Barbara and San Diego.
