This exhibition was a rare opportunity for viewers to explore the artists’ preliminary ideas for their works and compare them to the final results in the vast collaborative, binational artistic venture: inSITE97. In conjunction with inSITE97, the Athenaeum presented an exhibition of artists’ visual concepts of their installation, including working drawings, sketches, photographs, plans, and architectural renderings. Thirty-two artists exhibited their works.
