Jurors Margaret Porter Troupe, owner of the Porter Troupe Gallery, San Diego, and arts writer Leah Ollman reviewed work by 203 artists and chose 29 works by 23 different artists to be displayed. First place: Selling Sharon (Cinnamon Spice); second place: Sandra Ortiz Taylor (Recuerdos para los Abuelitos); third place: Ryuta Nakajima (Anton Artaud as Marat). Honorable mention: Dorothy Annette (Prom Costume), Anna Mather (Chain Gang II), and James Soe Nyun (Breakfast Cereal Manifesto II). Other artists who exhibited were Gayle Ansel, Lorna Berliner, Jeffrey Brosbe, Edward Cheng, Moya Devine, Christie Dunning, Candise Flippin, Peter Geise, Scot Jaffe, Erika Kyte, Susan McFetridge, Toru Nakatani, Heather Rae Pieters, Carlos Richardson, Augusto Sandroni, Francis Schanberger, and Lisa Venditelli.
