32 works by 17 different artists were chosen from over 650 works of art, by over 150 artists. Jurors: Elizabeth Armstrong, Senior Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, and Bonnie Wright, Director of the Spruce Street Forum. Artists selected: Sarah Bean, Richard Blaszczyk, Althea Brimm, Sally Christensen, Peter Evaristo, Peter Geise, Raina Grigg, David Messick, Angel Nevarez, James Soe Nyun, Francis Schanberger, Emily Smith, Charles Swank, Sandra Ortiz Taylor, Perry Lee Vasquez, Lisa Venditelli, and Allison Wiese. Perry Lee Vasquez and Randy Evans, 1st place (Plan Nine from Aztlan), a multi-media piece, complete with sound. Angel Nevarez, 2nd place (3 silver gelatin prints). Lisa Venditelli, 3rd place (three mixed-media pieces), and James Soe Nyun, honorable mention (three silver gelatin prints).
