Athenaeum Artists’ Books by Stuart Collection Artists

To help celebrate the 20th anniversary of UCSD’s Stuart Collection, the Athenaeum exhibited artists’ books from our collection by Stuart Collection artists, including: Terry Allen, Michael Asher, John Baldessari, Jackie Ferrara, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Jenny Holzer, Elizabeth Murray, Bruce Nauman, Nam June Paik, Niki de Saint Phalle, Alexis Smith, Kiki Smith and William Wegman. Other contributing artists were: Mei-mei Bersenbrugge, Chris Burden, Laurent Condiminas, Amy Gerstler, Mike Glier, Marvin Heiferman, Carole Kismaric, Charlotte Moorman, Peter Nadin, Dennis Oppenheim, Helene Posner, Diane Tammes, Michael Tilden, Lynne Tillman, Lawrence Weschler, and Lawrence Weiner.
