The Athenaeum presented works in glass and mixed media by local artist Jean Hamerslag. Eleven larger than life mosaic pieces were displayed in the rotunda and the outside patio. Of particular note was Urban Fruit Tree, a 14 X 9’ mosaic tree with junk food “fruit.” This piece was displayed in the Athenaeum’s patio and drew lots of laughs from passerbys.
