Joseph Clayes III Gallery
SALLY HAGY-BOYER
Phase Space
January 9–February 13, 2010
This exhibition contains a variety of works by Hager-Boyer, a San Diego resident at the time. The opening piece is ABC Wire Installation, a wall-mounted alphabet of letters formed from found pieces of wire. Housing Elements consists of 118 paper houses, each one and a half inches tall but differently decorated, one of nineteen works using the artist’s preferred media of encaustic and paper. Choose Your Token is a series of twelve phrases accompanied by small drawn images. There are also six artist’s books, including Phase Shapes, from which the title of the show is taken.
